About Me
I'm a postoctoral researcher at the Data Systems Group at MIT CSAIL. I'm interested in developing AI applications as well as systems to accelerate their development and address their limitations.
My PhD with Sam Madden here at MIT CSAIL focused on data problems arising in machine learning applied to images and videos, especially searching for objects in large datasets.
Before grad school I worked as an engineer at AWS on the Aurora DB team, mostly on its innovative distributed storage component.
I'm originally from Guatemala and am keen on connecting with other professionals who share an interest in the educational/economic development of Central America
